Abstract Art – ‘Connections No2’ by Sophia Persephone

Acrylics and pastels on archival-quality linen canvas.

I had fun creating this small painting alongside its companion piece, ‘Connections No1‘.

As with most of my abstract work, I painted intuitively, without a set plan, and built it up in layers.

I made this piece while living in Spain, probably sometime in 2022. It was a bit of a creative experiment—and I think it worked out quite well.

I didn’t go on to develop the series, most likely because I was more focused on larger-scale works at the time, which is where my main interest lies.

This piece is perfect for a smaller space—like a hallway—where it can bring a splash of colour and visual intrigue.
