Abstract Art – ‘Connections No1’ by Sophia Persephone

Acrylics and pastels on archival quality linen canvas.

I really enjoyed making this little painting and its companion piece ‘Connections No2‘.

I worked intuitively, without any plan or thought as to how it would turn out. I worked in layers as I usually do in my abstract art.

This piece was created while I was living in Spain, sometime around 2022, and represents a bit of an experiment. I think it turned out ok.

I didn’t continue the series, probably because I was more focused on making largescale pieces, which is my preference.

This is an ideal piece for a hallway or small room, to add a pop of colour and interest.
