Painting Commissions

I’m currently accepting commissions for portraits, abstracts, and landscapes. Let’s work together to bring your vision to life.

The Process

Working closely with you, I take the time to understand exactly what you’re looking for in a commissioned piece, whether it’s a portrait, abstract, or landscape. If requested, I’ll advise on the colour palette and size to ensure the painting fits seamlessly into your space.

For portrait commissions, I can work from an existing photo or provide guidance on how to take a great one. In some cases, I may even be able to come and take the photo myself. I welcome commissions of all sizes, from simple head-and-shoulders portraits to full-length, double, triple, or family portraits. (I also paint animal portraits.)

For abstract pieces, I’ll sketch out an initial idea based on your brief, and we’ll refine the composition and colour scheme together to create something truly unique.

I also accept landscape commissions, which allow me to explore the beauty of the natural world. I can work from a photo you provide, or I can find a reference that captures the essence of the landscape you want.

Turnaround times vary depending on the size of the painting—smaller pieces typically take about a week, medium sizes around two weeks, and larger works up to a month. Please also allow at least two weeks for the drying process for oil paintings. All paintings are finished with painted sides and a matte varnish for protection. If desired, I can source a frame for the cost of the frame plus a small handling fee.

Prices

All paintings are created on archival quality linen surfaces with the highest artist quality paints. The price bands below are a guide and the actual quote will depend on the subject, e.g. a triple portrait will take longer than a single portrait.

Square Format

50 x 50 cm: £400 – £500

60 x 60 cm: £500 – £650

80 x 80 cm: £800 – £1200

100 x 100 cm: £1250 – £1950

Rectangular Format

30 x 40 cm: £300 – £400

40 x 50 cm: £400 – £500

50 x 65 cm: £500 – £650

60 x 80 cm: £750 – £1150

80 x 100 cm: £1200 – £1900

Sizes over 100 x 100 cm – price on request.

I ask for a 50% deposit to start your commission, with postage and packaging quoted separately and payable at the time of shipping, along with the remaining 50% fee.
